In April 2011 Justin & Rob from Knack Studios went to Bali on a Roxy Shoot with Photographers Dane Peterson & Ryan Heywood. Justin working as an Art Director on the shoot and all design elements to be produced from the Campaign & working in a 2 man team with Cinematographer Rob Norman to create the HS2011 Hype Reel. Knack recently created this profile video on Australian freestyle skier Russ Henshaw for REDBULL – The guy shreds! Born in Sydney, Henshaw strapped on his first pair of skis when he was three. A dozen years later, encouraged by national under-12 slalom titles, his parents moved to Jindabyne, the golden gateway to the NSW snowfields. Now he spends most of the year with his passport in his pocket on a world dream snowfields tour; home maybe for 10 days for Christmas in the northern winter, anywhere from his beloved Perisher to New Zealand or even South America during the southern winter.
So Stoked to be invited onto Corbin Harris’ show Pop Gun on Fuel TV… We talked Skate Photography, The Camera Club and Knack Studios. Corbin is a great guy and it was an awesome opportunity to be invited onto the show. Man it’s embarrassing to see yourself on the tube though… (Excuse the crappy recording off the TV)
Knack’s been hanging around Otis like a bad smell lately. Why? Apart from thinking he’s a super rad dude, they’re making some visuals together. “A day in Bondi with a Cobba Dingo” It’s a short film about surfing the east. The eastern suburbs that is… The talented aerialist is really pushing progressive surfing and having just signed to arnette, look out for some dope stuff to come. Stay tuned for when “A day in Bondi with a Cobba Dingo” is out of the edit suite and onto your screens…
With Shaun White in Sydney launching his new range of Oakley Sunglasses, Knack was lucky enough to catch the super human himself tearing apart their local skatepark a stones through from studio.
