Over the summer months Knack Studios worked with BlueStar Revolution to document the Nike Block Series. The Block Series, Nike Surfing’s grassroots competition tour for young athletes aged between 9 & 20. With a unique non-elimination Round Robin format allowing for competitors to surf three times throughout the one-day events, the Block Series just hit one goal : crown the best and most progressive surfers in the SuperGroms, Groms and Junior divisions, encouraging performance and good vibes bringing together aspiring pro surfers for a great surf encounter.

2012 Aquabumps Spring/Summer Moments in Italy – in association with Peroni from Aquabumps on Vimeo.
Working with Aquabumps again, this time in collaboration with Peroni we set off to Italy to capture the summer, the beaches and the waves of the Mediterranean… Yep thats right, waves in the med! Aquabumps joined forces with Peroni to produce a series of short films that will take you to a place that we all want to be whilst hiding in our office cubicles – the beach.

Knack Studios worked with Mere shoes to create a brand video and look book photo shoot for this exciting up-coming shoe brand. The Spring/Summer collection by designer James Noakes has been taken from the theme ‘Across the Grain’ Its country meet, chic and was filmed and Photographed on the south coast of NSW. mmm smell the leather.

Last year along side working at the Rip Curl Pro Portugal, Knack Photographer Justin Barnwell shot two look books for Rip Curl. The first being with the always entertaining Wilko. Wandering the streets of Peniche with a suitcase wardrobe, we found pockets of light in this sleep fishing village. Nice to see the final product from the dudes at Rip Curl.

Now in it’s 3rd year, Tic Taco brings to you another selection of skateboard photographs by Knack Studios photographer Justin Barnwell. Throw in some frozen margaritas, a few beers, some sloppy taco’s and it’s a party. This year the show consisted of photographs documenting the Vans BOWL-A-RAMA past events as well as special guests at the Bondi Bowl dating back to 2006. With photographs of skating superstars Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero & Shaun White as well as the always amazing talent at Vans BOWL-A-RAMA the B&W photographs were all printed on archival art paper. mmm nice.
